BRI Education

As Director of Research and Education at the Blockchain Research Institute (BRI), I lead the strategy, development, and execution of BRI’s online education initiatives, translating cutting-edge research into accessible learning experiences for a global business audience. Working in partnership with INSEAD and Coursera, I’ve overseen the creation of a suite of high-quality online courses that serve to demystify emerging technologies, such as blockchain and AI, for non-technical professionals across sectors.

My responsibilities span the full lifecycle of course development—from securing funding and managing partner agreements, to serving as a subject-matter expert, crafting detailed curricula, designing assessments, writing lecture scripts, storyboarding animations, coordinating media production, and engaging as an on-screen course instructor. I also lead communication strategies, including press outreach, promotional content, and campaign planning, ensuring each course reached its intended audience with clarity and purpose.

Course Development Highlights

  • Blockchain Revolution Specialization
Launched in 2019, BRI’s flagship four-course Specialization introduced learners to blockchain fundamentals, business applications, and strategic analysis. Featuring Don and Alex Tapscott, the program also included a variety of practitioner perspectives from INSEAD’s alumni network with experience in the blockchain industry. As well, the final course practicum included the Blockchain Case Commons—a crowdsourced repository of real-world use cases and applications developed through a custom plugin I helped conceptualize and deliver.
  • Web3 and Blockchain in Global Commerce Specialization
Developed in partnership with FedEx and launched in 2022, this four-course Specialization explored blockchain’s impact on global commerce and supply chains. For this series, I joined Don and Alex Tapscott as a course instructor, contributing expertise in content, storytelling, and research contextualization.
  • Web3 and Blockchain Fundamentals Course
A short-format course launched in 2023 for time-constrained business leaders, this course was designed for maximum impact in under four hours. It distills the most essential concepts and applications of blockchain and Web3, making it ideal for executive onboarding or team-wide learning.
  • Generative AI and Blockchain Course
Launched in 2025, this course explores the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain in the Web3 era. Learners examine the evolution of the internet, the Web3-AI technology stack, and the mutual benefits AI and blockchain can provide each other—from enhancing transparency and automation to enabling decentralized governance and AI-driven tokenomics. The course culminates in real-world use cases across healthcare, arts and media, commerce, and sustainability.
  • Blockchain Applications in Fintech Course
Also released in 2025, this course provides a strategic framework for understanding blockchain’s impact on financial services. Learners explore blockchain fundamentals, the rise of decentralized finance (DeFi), and emerging fintech applications—from stablecoins and decentralized insurance to global payments and tokenized assets. The course equips professionals to evaluate blockchain-based solutions within real-world financial contexts.
